Every Earth Day, millions of people gather around the world to celebrate our planet, increase environmental literacy, and advocate for support of environmental protection. Business leaders, farmers, students, artists, and politicians come together to remind each other of how everything we need, and everything we create and rely on, comes from Nature.
It’s easy to forget, as our lives have become so reliant on technology that we only need to speak our desire and Siri or Alexa deliver. Even our fresh, organic food can be express shipped in artful packages, trimmed and cleaned without a trace of dirt or insects, further distancing us from our relationship to Nature. The technology of our time is causing us to miss the beauty and generosity of this incredible planet that holds and sustains us. Just another compelling reason to raise our heads from our screens and feel gratitude for our planetary home, this Earth Day and every day.
So how can we connect more deeply to Nature on a daily basis and be inspired to celebrate and advocate for the well-being of our Mother Earth? A good place to start is with essential oils and this rollerball recipe honoring the great giver and sustainer of life!
Aromatherapy Roller-Ball for Earth Day
What you need:
- Glass measuring pitcher
- A metal spoon, or glass stirrer
- One 10ml ( .35 oz) roller ball bottle.
- 2 ¼ tsp of Jojoba or Sunflower seed oil
Essential Oil Synergy:
- White Pine essential Oil: 10 drops

- Palmarosa Essential Oil: 10 drops
- In a glass measuring pitcher combine your carrier oil and essential oils and mix well
- Pour carefully into roller-ball bottle, pop in roller ball, cap and shake.
Why I chose these essential oils?
Core Essential Oil: White Pine (Pinus strobus)
For offering breathing space and improving focus and concentration. Connects mind and body and eases nervous tension. And offers experience of being deep in the woods.
Supporting/Enhancing Oil: Frankincense (Boswellia sacra)
Guides us to think reflectively and look inward; meditative, clearing and offers a deep sense of peace.
Harmonizing Oil: Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii)
Spring-like floral aroma, that is cleansing and fresh feeling. Uplifting and supports movement and action.
