FAQs
Do I have lifelong access to the course material?
Yes, all of our courses grant lifelong access. Our only purchase that has a time limit is the monograph database, which is a yearly subscription.
Is there a time limit for completion of the course?
Our programs are self-paced. There is no time limit for completing your course.
Will I receive a certificate after the completion of my course?
Yes, we provide certification for our courses.
Do you offer continuing education credits?
Yes, all of our courses qualify as continuing education for aromatherapists. We also have a number of registered courses that are approved as CEs for massage therapists through NCBTMB.
Do you offer student support?
Yes! We are available via email and phone for direct contact with students. We also have a vibrant student forum with students and course instructors where we encourage you to ask questions and engage with other aromatherapists.
What format are the courses taught in?
We utilized a mixed media of education materials. The main formats we employ are video recordings to written text.
Can I take a course without getting certified?
Absolutely! You can choose to simply complete the course to gain the knowledge and experience you are seeking. You’ll receive the exact same balanced, progressive and inspiring education. You can always decide to come back to the course and complete for certification if you are so inspired.
Are your aromatherapy certification courses approved?
Yes, upon completion of any of our certification courses, you will receive a certification from the School for Aromatic Studies. Jade Shutes as well as the School for Aromatic Studies are approved as educational providers by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA). The School for Aromatic Studies is also an approved provider of CE hours through the NCBTMB as well as NAHA.

Is Aromatherapy a licensed profession?
No, aromatherapy is not a licensed profession anywhere in the world with the exception of South Africa.
Do you offer payment plans?
Our certification courses all have payment plan options available. You can explore pricing options under each course individually.
In what language is the material taught?
Our courses are taught in the English language.
Can I take the course if I am not from the United States?
Yes! We have students from all over the world.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a 24 hour refund policy. If you are unhappy with a course, please contact us within that time period and we will honor your refund request.
