Grief and Aromatics
Guest Teacher: Marika Fleri
As do her petals, gently does her scent unfold
Let the stories in your heart and soul be told
She whispers….. Hush….Can you hear her call?
She will hold you and nurture you through it all.
– Marika Fleri
Travel through the seven stages of grief, exploring how we can use aromatics as support.
During the past couple of years, the world has gone through a shake up and a reality check, which has inevitably brought about loss, insecurities and change in circumstances and direction for many of us. We are now going through a period of collective and individual grief as we are somehow trying to adapt to a new normal.
A certificate of attendance will be provided. Earn CE hours for aromatherapists.
What you will learn
Different Faces of Grief
During our journey together we will be discussing the different faces of grief. Loss can be experienced in various ways, e.g.
- Loss of a family member or friend
- End of relationships
- Loss of a job or change in designation
- Loss of pet
- Kids leaving home or change in family dynamics
- Major and even minor life changes
Seven Stages of Grief
We will travel through the seven stages of grief, whilst keeping in mind and illustrating that the grieving process is not at all linear and is highly personal.
Aromatics and Grief
We will be outlining how aromatics can be part of our tool box and how they can accompany us through the different faces and stages of grief.
