Nutrition for Aromatherapists Course Info

Nutritional deficiencies can often be the underlying cause of various health issues. As a practitioner of holistic health, you have the opportunity to inspire and empower your clients (and yourself!) by discussing nutritional deficiencies and effectively educating them on how to support their bodies through nutrition.

In this course, you’ll learn about the essential macronutrients (fats, carbs, and proteins), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), how they impact the body, and how to spot deficiencies. We will dive into the world of whole foods, food allergies/intolerances, and how to avoid dietary fads. We’ll also explore the ways in which nutrition and aromatherapy can work together to support our clients’ and our own health and well-being.

What you will learn:

Upon successful completion of Nutrition for Aromatherapists students will be able to:

Understand the power of nutrition: A foundational understanding of nutrition enables aromatherapists to comprehend how different foods and nutrients impact the body. This knowledge allows us to provide informed recommendations to our clients on how to support their health and well-being through nutrition.

Maximize the therapeutic effects of essential oils: Nutrition and essential oils can work together to enhance the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy. For example, when essential oils with anti-inflammatory properties are blended with a diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods, the results can be even more potent.

Address underlying health issues: Knowledge of nutrition allows aromatherapists to consider their clients’ dietary habits, food intolerance or allergies, and health concerns when making recommendations. By addressing underlying health issues through a well-rounded approach, we can help our clients (and ourselves!) achieve optimal wellness.

Boost overall wellness: Incorporating nutrition into our practice allows us to take a holistic approach to wellness. Essential oils and nutrition can work hand in hand to support the body’s natural healing processes, reduce stress and inflammation, and improve overall health and well-being.
