Nozella Brown, Ed.D.
I'm fondly called Dr. Nozella by my adult children, husband David for 38 years, friends and colleagues. As a naturalistic city girl, I'm committed to living as free of toxins and drugs as possible, I share what I've learned with whomever I can. I'm a doctor of education and passionate about empowering other to achieve the quality of life they desire. Professionally, I'm a nutrition educator, professor, writer, speaker, researcher, and wellness consultant. I'm currently completing my aromatherapy certification through Aromatic Studies, Personally I love reading, journaling, traveling, dancing, and mixing up all kinds of DIY concoctions from household cleaners to beauty care products. Like most women I struggle to live a balanced life. However, one thing I've learned is that I have to be intentional. That means talking care of my body because I believe it is the temple of God. My greatest joy comes from sharing what I've learned and experienced with others.
It's my calling.

Charleston Reiki & Well Be-ing Center
I have a small wellness practice utilizing several natural healing modalities. I'm a Reiki Master and Teacher, and have been using various energy healing modalities for over 30 years. I have studied EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) since 2008, and began facilitating past life regressions in early 2014. I've always incorporated essential oils into my healing work, and am excited about utilizing the added knowledge I've achieved from this course into my work that much deeper.
When I'm not practicing healing work, I enjoy meditation, self-hypnosis, growing vegetables and herbs in my garden, and taking in nature. I'm a licensed educator with the international House Rabbit Society, and volunteer my time to educate others on how to properly care for domestic house rabbits. I also work as a consultant for small businesses helping other small business owners with marketing and other issues they encounter while focusing on "doing what they do best".
I am a mother of an amazing four year old boy. I am singer songwriter, dancer, radio host, and love gardening. I have grown my own vegetables and herbs for 15 years now and have experimented with herbs and oils, making my own recipes. This amazing aromatherapy class really inspired me to move forward with what I love best and that is being a mom, gardening, working with essential oils, herbs and sharing this knowledge to my son. It has finally come full circle for me as I am realizing more and more that this is what I want to do in life.
I have been teaching herbal medicine for 18+ years and decided to make my love of aromatherapy official, 8 years ago. Using my history of aromatherapy to create magical blends has been an incredible journey.
