I am Emiliano Rodriguez, founder and director of AromaCiencia, a member of AIA, NAHA and IFPA, and I have a great passion not only for aromatic plants and essential oils, but also for aromatherapy education. I am a trained computer science teacher and university programmer. Almost a decade ago, during a trip to Europe, I suffered from one of the frequent tonsil infections. After not finding success with antibiotics and, under the insistent suggestion of a pharmacist, I decided to try oregano essential oil capsules. In my home country, Argentina, the availability of authentic essential oils is scarce, as most are artificial essences used for aromatizing purposes. Therefore, I was hesitant at first to accept this alternative. I managed to heal without experiencing any gastrointestinal side effects or imbalances in my microbiota. From that moment on, I decided that I wanted to explore, study and apply this knowledge for the rest of my life. I began this journey by contacting aromatherapists in Spain and France for training, importing certified organic and authentic essential oil brands. For health reasons, essential oils became a fundamental pillar in my search for well-being and healing. Once I acquired pure essential oils, I decided to take the next step towards professionalization and study aromatherapy in a rigorous manner. This journey, which has spanned several years (almost 10 years), has taken me through France, Spain and finally to the United States. Therefore, my current desire is to share with the entire world, starting with Argentina, everything I have learned and continue to learn. After a decade of experiences, my purpose has focused on educating, practicing, researching and writing about aromatherapy, essential oils, health and natural wellness. I firmly believe in the power of education and have witnessed how it empowers students and professionals, providing them with the necessary knowledge to thrive in the 21st century wellness movement. Now, together with Aromatics Studies, we provide quality education in Spanish in the introductory aromatherapy courses and soon Aromatherapy Fundamentals Level 1.
